Club Contrast ("we," "us," or "our") operates a Nordic sauna and cold plunge studio at 14446 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use clubcontrast.com or book a session with us.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate our booking service. Under the CCPA, the categories of personal information we collect are:

  • Identifiers — phone number, name (optional)
  • Commercial information — booking history, session type, guest count
  • Internet or network activity — basic server logs (IP address, browser type) for security purposes only
  • Inferences — membership tier, visit frequency, derived from booking history

We do not collect: social security numbers, financial account numbers (payments are tokenized by our processor), precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, or any information from minors.

How We Use Your Information

The business or commercial purposes for which we collect personal information:

  • To verify your identity and provide secure access to your account
  • To confirm, manage, and fulfill your bookings
  • To send booking confirmation and reminder messages (SMS reminders only if you opt in)
  • To process payments for sessions
  • To maintain your visit history and membership status
  • To improve our service and operations

We do not use your information for advertising, third-party marketing, or promotional outreach.

SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive a one-time verification code via SMS to log in or create your account. If you separately opt in to booking reminders, you may receive one SMS message approximately one hour before each upcoming session.

  • Message frequency: One message per login or verification. If reminders are enabled, one message per upcoming booking.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
  • To opt out: Reply STOP to any message. You will be unsubscribed immediately.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share limited information only with:

  • Payment processors — to complete transactions securely. Card data is tokenized and never stored by us.
  • SMS service providers — solely to deliver verification codes and booking reminders you have requested. SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
  • Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Right to Know

You may request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose for collection, and whether it has been disclosed to third parties.

Right to Delete

You may request deletion of your personal information. You can do this instantly and without contacting us — log into your account, go to Settings, and select Delete My Account & All Data. Your account, bookings, and all personal information will be permanently deleted immediately.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale

We do not sell your personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA (e.g., precise geolocation, biometrics, health data, financial account numbers).

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. Exercising your rights will not affect the price or quality of our services.

Data Retention

We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings — no waiting period, no questions asked. Upon deletion, all personal information is permanently removed from our systems.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated policy with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated to users via the website. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
